Freelancers: Common Misconceptions and Workforce Trends
The days of working from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. five days a week, or working for one employer your entire career, are over. Evolutions in technology, industry and corporate dynamics have ushered in a new era of flexible, results-driven employer/employee relationships. Multiple studies have been conducted that show various trends supporting the freelance workforce as well as common misconceptions.
At Source, we wanted to gain a better understanding of how these trends relate to our own Source Techworks network of field service professionals. Source Techworks is our on-demand worldwide technical network of certified field service professionals and technical resource partners. We recruit, train, nurture, and engage with field service professionals that are local to each end user’s site to ensure a seamless service experience. Currently, members of this community reside in all 50 states and more than 100 countries around the world.
